2017 Carolina’s Regional Rookie of the Year

It’s no mystery as to how Dana Ben won Rookie of the Year in 2017, she sold a total volume of $15 Million in her first 1.5 years as a Realtor®. Not something easily accomplished by a seasoned Realtor®, let alone a woman who got into real estate to better understand the needs of her home staging clients. For Dana, the art of selling homes is all about the “Power of Presentation” and to do it better than the rest she sets forth daily with one intention in mind: understanding the needs and wants of her clients on a personal level. Because for Dana whether your buying or selling a home it’s a personal experience, one that demands personal attention.

Dana’s commitment to her clients and her tireless efforts pay off month after month. She was named Keller Williams Preferred Realty at Brier Creek’s Rising Star after only six months and won the Carolinas Regional Top 10 Individual Award five times. Her background in education combined with the experience gained as the founder of Carolina Lighthouse Staging & Redesign make her almost custom built to be an incredibly successful Realtor®. Within the first month of starting her company, Dana staged 17 homes with 97% selling in under a week, a talent that has been a distinct advantage to all her listing clients.

Entrepreneurial spirit and drive are two key ingredients in the Dana Ben’s secret sauce. Dana Ben Realty Group (DBRG) and Carolina Lighthouse Staging & Redesign both reflect her core values and the love she has for helping people. “Buying and selling a home is all about attracting positive energy FIRST. To do that, our team provides a safe space, allowing such energy to flow.” Dana explains, “We are compassionate with our diverse group of clients and delivering exceptional customer service is of the highest priority. As Maya Angelou says: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Building and maintaining strong relationships comes naturally to Dana. “I truly enjoy meeting people, learning about their life and what they hope to accomplish in the future. I feel it makes me a better Realtor® and a better person. To best serve them, I seek to understand their motivations for buying or selling. Many people say this business is about building relationships, that’s the easy part. What I truly cherish is maintaining those relationships and staying in touch with my clients. Our relationship doesn’t end after the transaction, it’s just beginning, and I consider myself a friend and a resource to them always.”

Finally, for Dana, it’s vital to be socially responsible and do her part in making the world a better place.  She contributes to KW Cares on a consistent basis and recently sponsored an event at International Focus Raleigh honoring Aiman Umarova, one of the ten 2018 International Women of Courage. Umarova is a lawyer from Kazakhstan representing political prisoners and helping bring to justice those involved in the sexual abuse of women and children. Something Dana is fiercely passionate about, as well.

Dana is also actively involved in her community. She and her husband of 17 years live in Cary. They have three children who keep them busy with swim practice, soccer, and ice hockey. As a family, they enjoy traveling, going on adventures, and getting outside to enjoy all North Carolina has to offer. This is not only important to her as a mom, but as a Realtor® as well.
